About Us

Our ‘Wild Oak Cooking School’ was born after many years of customers of the Wild Oak Restaurant expressing their desire to learn the ability to make such sumptuous food at home. In February 2008 space became available adjoining the Wild Oak and chef owner Ben Higgs leapt at the chance to convert this quaint little shop into an intimate cooking space, where he could demonstrate to and also supervise with ease a small group of students. It is a purpose designed room maximizing the use of a central workspace that allows much more hands on opportunity than traditionally designed demonstration kitchens. Having a relatively small capacity of 8-10 persons gives participants a much higher level of contact with professional chef instructors. A variety of class options has been put together to suit your next gastronomic adventure.
